I'd put lots of house plants in it and sit in it in my rocking chair drinking gin. (When I'm old, or just feel like gin). Could you fit a rocking chair in it? I'll get a big one. more…

I live in a flat in the roof of an old building and the kitchen ceiling slopes into a turret at the back. It is pretty nice, despite the decor needing a sprucing up (I rent so can't touch it :-( )
I did know someone who had an actual turret room, which was great but pretty pointless as was too small to use it for anything! Bizarre... more…

I'm not sure what to say to that. But it is an interesting thing. How different people deal in different ways with the same problem.

I went through a similar thing quite a while back and even now I still get the occasional pang of sadness/anger/frustration about it.
Hope things work out ok for you, I'd suggest going out with this other bloke, at least it might take your mind of it. more…
